Nick Boke

Nick served as minister at the First Universalist Parish of Chester from 1995-2003, after which he took up a career working as an international education consultant. After working in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, he moved back to Providence, RI, from which he works on international projects and serves as a free-lance writer and editor. His wife, Buffy, serves as minister of First Parish Unitarian-Universalist, Canton, MA.


Kevin Carson, M.Div.

Kevin graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 2013. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kevin and his wife now live in Johnston, Rhode Island. He was raised Methodist but has been a UU for over 30 years, in congregations in Tennessee, Texas, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. A deep love of nature inspires his ministry and his environmental advocacy.


Rev. Dr. Nancy Jay Crumbine

Nancy was Parish Minister at the UU Congregation of the Upper Valley in Norwich, VT from 1989 to 2001, while concurrently serving as an Associate Professor for Writing and Rhetoric at Dartmouth College where she continues teaching. Nancy is a published poet and writer as well as a speaker, including a number of engagements with the Vermont and New Hampshire Humanities Councils. Nancy has led week-long writing workshops in the UK and US and takes to the stage as an actress.
